How do I sign up?

  5. Activate Your Service: Once you receive your SIM card and/or device, follow the simple activation instructions provided.

How does switching to AFNET work?

Switching to AFNET is a straightforward process! Here's how it works:

  1. Shop Plans and Devices (Optional): Visit our website to explore our cellular plans and browse our selection of devices, if you need a new phone.
  2. Select Your Plan and Device (if applicable): Choose the plan and device that best suits your needs and add them to your cart.
  3. Provide Your Porting Information: During the checkout process, you'll be asked to provide your existing phone number and the necessary porting information from your current carrier. This includes your account number and PIN.
  4. Complete the Checkout: Finalize your purchase and provide any required information.
  5. Receive Your SIM Card/Device: Once your order is processed, you'll receive your AFNET SIM card and/or device.
  6. Activate Your Service: Follow the simple activation instructions provided. This will initiate the porting process, transferring your existing number to your AFNET service.
  7. Enjoy Your AFNET Service: Once the porting process is complete (typically within a few minutes to hours), your existing number will be active with the new AFNET SIM on the AFNET network.

We'll handle the porting process for you, making the switch as seamless as possible. You can continue using your current service until the port is complete.

How long does it take to switch to AFNET?

The time it takes to switch to AFNET depends on a few factors, but we aim to make it as quick and efficient as possible. Here's a general timeline:

  1. Checkout and Port-In Eligibility: After you complete the checkout process on our website and provide your porting information, we'll immediately confirm your port-in eligibility. This typically takes a very short time.
  2. Order Processing and SIM Shipping: Once your eligibility is confirmed, we'll process your order and ship your new AFNET SIM card. Shipping times will vary depending on your location and chosen shipping method.
  3. SIM Activation: Once you receive your SIM card, you'll need to activate it through our website or by following the instructions provided or call our support line for help.
  4. Instant Porting (Typically): After you activate your SIM, the porting process usually happens within minutes. In some rare cases, it could take a few hours.

From the moment you complete checkout to having your number fully ported, the process can be as fast as the shipping time of the SIM card plus the activation process. In most cases, the porting itself is near instantaneous after activation.

We'll keep you updated throughout the process and notify you once your number has been successfully ported.

What happens if I am under contract with another provider?

If you are currently under contract with another cellular provider, you can still switch to AFNET. However, it's important to understand the following:

  • Early Termination Fees: Your current provider may charge early termination fees if you cancel your contract before it expires. AFNET is not responsible for these fees. We recommend checking your current contract or contacting your provider to understand any potential costs.
  • Contract Expiration: You can choose to wait until your current contract expires before switching to AFNET to avoid any early termination fees.
  • Porting Your Number: You can still port your existing number to AFNET, even if you are under contract. However, you will still be responsible for any fees associated with your current contract.
  • Device Unlock: If you plan to use your current phone with AFNET, ensure it is unlocked. Many carriers will unlock devices after a contract is fulfilled or after a certain period of time.

Is there Cellular coverage in my area?

When you begin the checkout process on our website and enter your address, our system automatically verifies coverage in your area. If we provide service at your location, you can proceed with your order.

We offer extensive nationwide coverage designed for reliable voice calls, fast data speeds, and dependable text messaging. We are confident you will be satisfied with our coverage.

Plans & Services

Do you offer WiFi calling?

Yes, AFNET offers Wi-Fi Calling.

Wi-Fi Calling allows you to make and receive calls and send/receive texts over a Wi-Fi connection instead of relying solely on cellular signals. This can be particularly beneficial in areas with poor cellular coverage or when you're indoors with limited signal strength.

Do you have hotspots? 

Yes, we offer hotspot devices or you can use your existing AFNET phone or tablet plan for hotspot functionality, up to the data limit of your plan. This allows you to share your device's data connection with other devices via Wi-Fi.  

Here are a few important points:

  • Plan Data: Hotspot usage will draw from your plan's available data.  
  • Device Support: Use a dedicated hotspot device from AFNET.  Otherwise, your phone or tablet must support the mobile hotspot (tethering) feature. Most modern smartphones and tablets have this capability.
  • Data Limits: Be mindful of your plan's data limits, as exceeding them may result in reduced speeds or require adding data top ups at additional costs.

To enable hotspot functionality, simply check your device's settings. The specific steps may vary depending on your phone or tablet's operating system (iOS or Android).

We encourage you to check your devices capabilities to ensure it supports the tethering feature.

Do you offer unlimited plans? 

We offer a range of data plans designed to meet various needs. While we don't offer truly 'unlimited' plans in the traditional sense, our higher data limit plans provide a substantial amount of data for your online activities.

Our plans are defined by specific data allowances, such as 2GB, 5GB, 10GB, 15GB, and 20GB. You can choose the plan that best aligns with your data usage.

We understand that data usage can vary, and we've designed our plans to offer a balance of affordability and data capacity. You can also switch plans at any time to adjust to your changing data needs.

Additionally, we offer data top-ups, such as our convenient 3GB top-up option, to add extra data to your plan whenever you need it.

Is there a group plan?

We do offer a flexible solution for companies and groups. You can activate multiple individual lines under a single main account.

This allows you to:

  • Manage multiple lines conveniently: All lines are managed under one account.
  • Choose different plans: Each line can have its own separate plan, tailored to the individual user's needs.
  • Maintain individual control: Each line operates independently, while still being under a main account.

This setup is ideal for businesses, organizations, or families who want to manage multiple lines without a shared data pool. Please contact our customer support team for more information on setting up a multi-line account.

Phones & Devices

Can I bring my phone or tablet?

Whether you can bring your existing phone or tablet depends on a couple of key factors:

  1. Network Compatibility: Your device must support the following network bands:

 LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 12, 66, and 71; and 5G bands n41, n71, and n258.

  1. Unlocked Device: Your phone or tablet must be unlocked. This means it's not tied to a specific carrier and can be used with any compatible network.

If your device meets these requirements, you can absolutely bring it to AFNET!

To check if your device is compatible, you can:

  • Look up your device's specifications online and compare them to the network bands listed above.
  • Contact your current carrier to confirm if your device is unlocked.

What phone brands do you carry?

We offer a selection of popular phone brands, including Apple, Samsung and other popular brands. To see our current inventory and available models, please browse our online web store. We regularly update our selection, so you're sure to find a device that fits your needs.

Do I have to pay for my phone in full upfront?

Yes, all purchases from AFNET are prepaid. This means you will need to pay full price at the time of purchase. This allows us to offer competitive pricing and a wide selection of plans & devices without requiring contracts or credit checks. You can view our available devices and pricing on our website.


Billing Taxes & Fees

How does Billing work?

AFNET operates on a monthly subscription basis. You'll receive a monthly bill for your chosen plan. To manage your payments, you have two convenient options:

  • Online Payment: You can log in to your account on our website at any time to view your bill and make a payment.
  • Autopay: For hassle-free payments, you can set up automatic payments through your account. This will ensure your bill is paid on time each month.

We strive to make billing simple and transparent, giving you control over your payments.

How soon will my bill be available?

Your first bill will be available immediately after you complete the checkout process for your initial purchase.

For recurring monthly plans, your bill will be generated every 30 days. As we offer prepaid plans, payment is due at the start of each 30-day period.

We provide a 7-day grace period for payments after your due date. However, please be aware that if payment is not received within this grace period, your plan may be terminated, and you risk forfeiting your phone number. We strongly encourage you to set up autopay or make timely payments to avoid any service interruptions.

What taxes and fees are included?

Taxes and fees are additional to the listed plan prices and will vary based on your location. These charges are determined by local, state, and federal regulations and will be clearly itemized on your monthly bill.
